India, Aug. 29 -- Australia's High Commissioner to India, Philip Green OAM, shared a glimpse of his Raksha Bandhan celebration in India on X, posting a video of an Indian friend visiting him to tie a rakhi, the traditional thread associated with the festival.

The video showed Green taking part in the ceremony as his friend tied the rakhi around his wrist.

Sharing the video on X, Green wrote: "I was charmed that an Indian friend dropped by today to tie the #rakhi on me. A lovely tradition, rooted in love, family and enduring bonds of care and protection."

Raksha Bandhan is a popular Hindu festival celebrated annually in India and other parts of South Asia, as well as by communities around the world influenced by Hindu culture.
