India, Aug. 6 -- Aban Ahmed, the youngest son of late gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, was killed in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on Thursday after the SUV he was travelling in crashed into a highway divider.

Aban, the youngest of Atiq Ahmed's five sons, was travelling in a white Hyundai Creta with four friends when the accident occurred.

According to police, Aban was travelling to Jhansi to meet his elder brother Ali Ahmed, who is lodged in jail there.

Driver lost control, say police

Senior Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy said police received information about the accident at around 10.30 am.
