New Delhi/IBNS, July 20 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday claimed the Centre had reached out to its leadership for the first time amid chaotic scenes during the "Chalo Sansad" march in the national capital.

The development came hours after Delhi Police resorted to a lathicharge to disperse protesters at Jantar Mantar and prevented the CJP's proposed march towards Parliament as the Monsoon Session got underway.

The CJP has been spearheading protests over the alleged NEET paper leak and other education-related issues, demanding accountability from the Centre and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
