India, Oct. 8 -- E-commerce giant Amazon has announced a fresh round of job cuts affecting employees in India, the United States and the United Kingdom, with fewer than 1,000 roles reportedly impacted, media reports said.

The latest layoffs have primarily affected Amazon's Stores business, which oversees the company's core e-commerce operations.

Employees across teams, including customer service, marketplace support and engineering, reportedly received emails informing them that their roles had been eliminated.
