India, June 12 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee was grilled for nearly 5.5 hours by the West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday in connection with the ongoing legislative assembly signature forgery case, sources told IBNS.

CID officials said his responses were not fully satisfactory and that he reportedly skipped several questions during the interrogation.

He has now been asked to reappear for questioning on June 14 at 12 pm.
