India, Feb. 14 -- KLA Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to invest $400 million (approximately Rs.3,600 crore) in setting up a state-of-the-art R&D and Innovation Campus in Chennai.
Announcing the development on X, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T. R. B. Rajaa described the move as the "next massive win" for the state's industrial ambitions.
"We said we have much more in store in semiconductors - and here we are!" he wrote, adding that KLA, one of the global leaders in semiconductor manufacturing design and R&D, has partnered with Guidance Tamil Nadu to establish its global R&D and Innovation Campus in Chennai.
