India, Sept. 14 -- Three Italian nationals travelling from Amritsar to Munich via Delhi allegedly boarded an international flight without undergoing mandatory immigration clearance, prompting the Ministry of Civil Aviation to issue a show-cause notice to Air India, media reports said.

The passengers arrived in Delhi from Amritsar on Air India flight AI-1115 at around 12:50 am on September 4.

However, they had not gone through the mandatory immigration process before leaving India.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has sought an explanation from Air India and given the airline seven days to respond.
