India, April 2 -- A 26-year-old software engineer from Bihar allegedly died by suicide at her apartment in Miyapur area of Hyderabad's Cyberabad, with police suspecting harassment linked to dowry demands.

The victim, Ishita Yadav, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her apartment on Wednesday evening. Her husband, Neeraj Bhansal, alerted the police after discovering her.

Relationship and marriage

According to investigators, Ishita and Neeraj met on social media in 2020 and were in a relationship for nearly five years.

Ishita, originally from Bihar, and Neeraj, from Madhya Pradesh, got married in Patna on February 20 this year in the presence of their families.
