India, Sept. 15 -- Oracle has begun a fresh round of layoffs, with employees receiving early-morning emails informing them that their positions had been eliminated as part of a broader organisational restructuring, according to media reports.

The latest round of job cuts reportedly began on Monday, although the exact number of employees affected remains unclear.

"After careful consideration of Oracle's current business needs, we have made the decision to eliminate your role as part of a broader organizational change," copies of layoff notification emails reviewed by Business Insider stated. "As a result, today is your last working day."
