Kolkata/IBNS, May 23 -- Robotic-assisted surgery is no longer limited to metro super-speciality centres abroad or in distant Indian cities, doctors at the Robotic Summit 2026 hosted by Manipal Hospitals said on Tuesday, highlighting how the technology is now transforming healthcare in Kolkata itself.

Held at Taj Vivanta, Ruby, the summit brought together doctors and patients who had undergone robotic surgeries, with the focus shifting from machines to real-life recovery stories.
