Mumbai/IBNS, Oct. 25 -- The Maharashtra Police on Saturday arrested one of the two accused in the suicide case of a 29-year-old doctor in the state's Satara district, media reports said.

Prashant Bankar, the son of the deceased's landlord, has been arrested. He will be produced in court on Saturday.

She accused Bankar of physically and mentally harassing her for five months.

The PSI, who has been suspended, is still absconding.

A search operation to arrest Badane is underway.

Police said the 29-year-old doctor was posted at a government hospital in Satara's Phaltan area but she was found hanging inside a hotel room on Thursday, Hindustan Times reported.
