New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 25 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rebutted Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's claim that "anti-incumbency" disappeared during the Modi regime due to alleged "vote theft".

Rahul Gandhi has renewed his attack on the government and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over an investigative media report concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Addressing a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi cited instances of long-term political rule in several states to counter Rahul Gandhi's claim.
