India, Sept. 21 -- A disturbing video showing a Class 10 girl allegedly being molested and harassed by a group of men on a road in Bihar's Jamui has triggered widespread outrage and a political confrontation, after state minister Shrawon Kumar described such incidents as "petty".

The incident took place on the evening of September 19, when the girl and her male classmate were allegedly stopped by a group while returning from coaching classes.

Police have registered a case under provisions including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Three people have been arrested, while authorities have formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate the incident and identify others involved.
