India, May 28 -- A handwritten note was recovered from the residence of Anik Dutta after the Bengali filmmaker died on Wednesday following a fall from the terrace of his south Kolkata home, news channel TV9 Bangla reported.

According to the channel's sources, the note stated, "No one is responsible for this."

However, police have not officially confirmed the contents of the document and said the investigation is still underway.
