India, June 15 -- US President Donald Trump on Sunday sharply criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Israel's strike on Lebanon, saying the Israeli leader had shown poor judgment at a time when Washington was close to securing a peace deal with Iran.

Speaking to CNN political and global affairs analyst and Axios reporter Barak Ravid, Trump reportedly said: "(Netanyahu) has no f**king judgment. I let him know that."

In a separate post on Truth Social, Trump expressed concern over the Israeli strike on Beirut, saying it risked undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region.
