Mumbai/IBNS, Aug. 28 -- Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas' mother Madhu Chopra has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Kriti Sanon's GIVA Raksha Bandhan advertisement.

Speaking about the backlash over Kriti's outfit, Madhu said she supports the principle of "my body, my choice", but believes there should also be certain boundaries depending on the cultural setting and occasion.

Madhu also appeared to defend her daughter Priyanka's choice of bold outfits, while stressing that clothing should be appropriate to the occasion and cultural context.

Her comments come amid the wider Kangana Ranaut-Kriti Sanon-GIVA controversy, which began after Kangana criticised Kriti's styling in the Raksha Bandhan campaign.
