New Delhi/IBNS, Sept. 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he is looking forward to speaking with Donald Trump, responding to the US President's fresh outreach to India in a bid to resolve the trade issues amid the ongoing tariff war.
Trump's outreach came just a day after his trade advisor Peter Navarro's attack on India over the trade issues.
Calling India "Maharaja of tariffs", Navarro issued a strongly worded warning against India's high tariffs, stating the situation "won't end well" if New Delhi does not "come around" in ongoing trade negotiations.
Last Friday, Trump acknowledged his personal friendship with Modi toning down on the South Asian country amid the tariff war.
