Hyderabad/IBNS, July 11 -- Director Murali Kishor Abburu's Telugu action drama Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, has registered a strong opening at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, according to media reports.

Opening Day Collection

Production house Sithara Entertainments announced that the film grossed Rs. 16.7 crore worldwide on the first day of its theatrical release on July 10.

According to a Hindustan Times report, the film has recorded the highest opening-day collection of Akhil Akkineni's career.

However, Sacnilk reported the film has collected Rs. 5.90 crore in India and Rs. 9.73 crore worldwide on the first day.
