Kolkata/IBNS, July 12 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday announced that the state government would introduce a single-window clearance mechanism for investment proposals worth Rs 100 crore and above, saying the initiative is aimed at creating a more business-friendly environment and accelerating industrial development.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a new Rs 600-crore manufacturing facility of Lux Industries at Dankuni in Hooghly district, Adhikari said the government would also ensure that land availability does not become a hurdle for investors.
