New Delhi/IBNS, April 22 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said India will never bow before terrorism as he remembered the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack on its anniversary.

One of the worst attacks in recent memory

The attack took place around 2:30 pm in Baisaran Valley, near Pahalgam, when militants dressed in military fatigues opened fire on a group of tourists.

The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The group said the assault was in protest against India's move to grant domicile certificates to non-locals in Jammu and Kashmir.
