'I have good dress and good food now': Tamil Nadu woman, who alleged torture in Kuwait, rescued by Indian Embassy
India, Sept. 4 -- The distress call of a Tamil Nadu woman stranded in Kuwait has led to her rescue by the Indian Embassy, with Vanitha now expressing gratitude after receiving assistance.
Vanitha, from Kallakurichi district, had earlier appeared in a video with her head covered and hands folded, appealing to Indian and Tamil Nadu authorities to help her return home.
In a subsequent video recorded at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, she appeared in a bright green kurta and thanked the embassy for coming to her aid.
"I am Vanitha, who had sought the Indian Embassy's help to rescue me. Now, I am in the Indian Embassy. Thank you, Indian Embassy. I have good dress and good food now," she said.
