India, Dec. 28 -- Indian-origin US Congressman Ro Khanna has condemned the killing of a Hindu man in Bangladesh as "horrific," an incident that has triggered global outrage and protests.
"The killing of Dipu Chandra Das, a 27-year-old Hindu garment worker in Bangladesh, is horrific. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family," Khanna wrote on X.
He added, "We must unequivocally condemn and speak out against these vile acts of hatred and bigotry."
Dipu Chandra Das was killed on December 18, an incident that drew widespread condemnation within Bangladesh and from the international community, once again raising concerns over the safety of religious minorities in the country.
