Bhopal/IBNS, July 11 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing an internal rebellion in Madhya Pradesh after supporters of former state Home Minister Narottam Mishra staged massive protests over the denial of a party ticket for the upcoming Datia Assembly bypoll, according to media reports.
Police Personnel Injured During Violent Protests
The protests turned violent, leaving Datia Superintendent of Police and several other police personnel injured.
Police later resorted to firing tear gas shells to disperse the protesters, several of whom were detained.
