New Delhi/IBNS, Oct. 23 -- Face-offs with Chinese troops have occurred at multiple locations along the Arunachal Pradesh border in recent days and continue to persist, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director General Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor said on Thursday, according to media reports.

Kapoor, who is scheduled to retire on October 31, made the remarks while addressing personnel at the ITBP's Central Training College in Alwar, Rajasthan.

The ITBP chief said the force had raised a specialised combat team called the Shaurya commandos, which had demonstrated its capabilities during confrontations with Chinese troops.
