India, May 14 -- The Delhi High Court on Thursday announced contempt proceedings against Arvind Kejriwal and several senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, with Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma accusing them of running a coordinated campaign to defame and intimidate the judiciary.

The judge said "extremely vilifying, extremely contemptuous, and defamatory material" targeting her was being circulated online by the respondents, amounting to a direct attack on the institution of the judiciary.
