India, Sept. 25 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a scathing attack on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his address to the UN General Assembly, calling him a "tyrant" and accusing him of hosting Hamas leaders.

"The latest country to become a super-spreader of antisemitic lies is Turkey," Netanyahu said. "Erdogan is a tyrant. He also hosts the Hamas terror chiefs."

Targeting Britain and France over their colonial histories, Netanyahu criticised the two countries for accusing Israel of colonialism.

Netanyahu also criticised New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, claiming that Jewish residents no longer felt safe in the city since Mamdani took office.
