New Delhi/IBNS, Oct. 6 -- Former India captain Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as the head coach of Delhi Capitals for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ganguly, who is currently the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), has been associated with the franchise since 2019, initially serving as an advisor before taking charge as Director of Cricket for both the men's and women's teams.

His appointment as head coach marks a transition from an advisory and administrative role to direct responsibility for the team's on-field campaign.
