New Delhi/IBNS, June 6 -- Calls for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan grew louder from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) camp as its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, arrived at the Jantar Mantar protest site in New Delhi on Saturday as scheduled.

The slogans reverberated across the protest site as supporters rallied behind the group's demands.

The protesters are seeking Pradhan's resignation over examination-related controversies and alleged administrative lapses, particularly in the backdrop of the NEET-UG paper leak row.

Police had earlier granted permission for the protest while simultaneously strengthening security arrangements across several locations in the national capital.
