Kolkata/IBNS, June 11 -- Senior Trinamool Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee has launched a blistering attack on party national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, describing him as "arrogant" and "disrespectful" amid the growing turmoil within the ruling party.

Kalyan Banerjee's remarks came after he was allegedly removed as a lawyer representing Abhishek Banerjee in the ongoing signature forgery case without prior consultation.

Speaking to reporters, Kalyan Banerjee, a close aide of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, expressed his anger over the manner in which he was informed about his removal.
