India, Aug. 19 -- US-based startup accelerator Y Combinator has sold shares worth Rs.1,435.2 Cr in Groww parent Billionbrains Garage Ventures through a bulk deal, marking another partial exit from one of its most successful India bets.

According to BSE bulk deal data, Y Combinator, through its affiliate YC Holdings II LLC, sold 7.47 Cr shares of Groww at Rs.192.16 apiece yesterday.

At a weighted average acquisition cost of Rs.3.45 per share, the shares sold had cost Y Combinator about Rs.25.77 Cr. The latest transaction, therefore, translated into a return multiple of nearly 55.7X.

Following the latest stake sale, Y Combinator has cumulatively realised around Rs.4,132 Cr from its Groww investment.
