India, Aug. 24 -- AI startup WATER Robotics has secured $2.5 Mn (about Rs.24 Cr) in a fresh funding round led by Endiya Partners, with participation from India's national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, Darwinbox cofounder Rohit Chennamaneni and Swiggy cofounder Nandan Reddy, among others.

Most of the fresh capital will be used in enhancing its R&D capabilities and a portion of the capital will go into data collection, WATER founder and CEO Teja Vinukollu told Inc42.

Founded in 2024 by Vinukollu and Haneesh Mourya Desu, WATER Robotics is a biophysical intelligence startup that builds adaptive intelligent surfaces, engineered end -to-end as one closed loop.
