India, Sept. 9 -- The National Payments Corporation of India's (NPCI's) Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app surpassed Amazon Pay in terms of UPI transactions in August this year. While BHIM processed10 Cr UPI transactions worth nearly INR 15,000 Cr last month, Amazon Pay saw nearly 9.8 Cr transactions amounting to INR 10,800 Cr.
Based on the transaction volume, BHIM was on the ninth number among the UPI apps in August, according to the data released by the NPCI. However, in terms of transaction value, it was above many leading UPI apps like super.money and FamApp.
