India, Aug. 28 -- Bidding to consolidate its position in the burgeoning Indian electric two-wheeler (E2W) market, market leader TVS Motor has launched a new escooter, TVS Orbiter, at an ex-showroom price of INR 99,900.

The escooter comes with a 3.1 kWh battery, range of 158 km, and a bootspace of 34 litres.

"With TVS Orbiter, we are expanding our EV ecosystem and accelerating the adoption of electric mobility in India," said Gaurav Gupta, president and India 2W Business at TVS Motor.

TVS Motor competes with the likes of Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, Ather Energy, and Oben Electric among others.
