India, April 29 -- UPI players like MobiKwik, Super Money, Amazon Pay, CRED, who have long trailed market leaders PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm in the UPI segment are mulling to set forth new proposals that could potentially address the market share disparity in the segment. 

As per a report by ET, the NPCI is set to meet with the third-party apps on April 30 (Thursday).

The meeting will have the objective of "jointly pushing proposals aimed at limiting further expansion by the top three players - PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm."

The smaller players are looking to restrict the giants from framing new methods of acquiring users and are also proposing a ban on targeting users for app downloads based on contact book data.
