Shiprocket Soars Over 9% After Goldman Sachs Buys Shares Worth Rs.52.7 Cr
India, Aug. 20 -- Shares of ecommerce enablement platform Shiprocket rose as much as 9.3% to an intraday high of Rs.156.81 on the BSE today, extending gains in their second trading session.
The stock subsequently pared some of its gains and was trading 5.6% higher at Rs.151.62 at around 11:45 IST. The company's market capitalisation stood at Rs.11,014.8 Cr (about $1.1 Bn) at the time.
The surge came after Goldman Sachs India Equity Portfolio acquired 40.24 Lakh shares of Shiprocket through a bulk deal yesterday on the company's listing day. The shares were purchased at a weighted average price of Rs.131 apiece, taking the transaction value to around Rs.52.7 Cr.
