India, Sept. 11 -- Bengaluru-based restaurant company Popo Global, which operates gourmet food brands including The Pizza Bakery, Paris Panini and Smash Guys, has raised Rs.532 Cr (around $56 Mn) from Artal Asia.

Popo Global did not disclose its valuation and the size of Artal Asia's stake.

Founded in 2017 by brothers Nikhil Gupta and Abhijit "AB" Gupta, Popo Global began with gourmet sourdough pizza brand The Pizza Bakery. It later expanded its portfolio with Paris Panini, which offers French-inspired paninis, sandwiches, wraps, and crepes, and smash burger brand Smash Guys.

The company claims to operate 41 outlets across Bengaluru.
