India, July 10 -- OpenAI has introduced GPT-5.6, its latest flagship family of AI models, alongside ChatGPT Work. The new AI-powered workspace model combines coding, research, document creation and workflow automation.

The launch comes amid increasing competition in enterprise AI. OpenAI's new model takes on Anthropic's Claude Cowork, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Google's Gemini for Workspace and Amazon Q Business in the enterprise AI market.

It must be noted that OpenAI delayed the public release of GPT-5.6 after consulting the US government over cybersecurity and national security concerns. As per reports, the US government asked the IPO bound AI major to initially limit access of the model to a small group of government-approved users.
