Mark Zuckerberg Should Apologise Over PM Modi's Facebook Video Removal: Parl Panel Chair
India, Aug. 4 -- Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg should apologise over the temporary removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook video, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said after the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology questioned the social media giant over the incident.
Dubey, who chairs the panel on communications and IT, said Meta's safe harbour protection under Section 79 of the IT Act could be reconsidered if Zuckerberg failed to apologise. According to a report by ANI, Meta admitted before the committee that the PM's video remained unavailable for more than four hours.
