India, Sept. 14 -- Lenskart has increased its stake in extended reality (XR) startup AjnaLens' parent Dimension NXG with an Rs.8 Cr investment to deepen its bet on smart eyewear and wearable technology.

In a regulatory filing, Lenskart said it acquired an additional 1.8% stake in AjnaLens for Rs.8 Cr. Following the transaction, its holding in the startup increased to 9.01% from 7.21% earlier.

The latest acquisition follows two earlier purchases this year. Lenskart acquired an additional 0.68% stake in AjnaLens in February and 1.69% in July. Together, the three transactions increased Lenskart's stake by 4.17% from its earlier holding of 4.84%. The aggregate consideration for these three acquisitions stood at Rs.18.5 Cr.
