Kepler Aerospace Raises $8 Mn To Launch Six Autonomous Surveillance Satellites
India, Sept. 1 -- Spacetech startup Kepler Aerospace has raised $8 Mn (around Rs.75.8 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Blue Ashva Capital and co-led by Finvolve, India Accelerator, and other investors.
The round marks the Bengaluru-based startup's first external fundraise since its inception in 2018.
Kepler will use the fresh capital to develop and deploy its space-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, while expanding its mission operations and avionics-as-a-service businesses.
A key part of the funding will be used to launch its first six autonomous swarming ISR satellites under two iDEX contracts secured for India's defence space ecosystem. The programmes have also received around $4 Mn in grants u...
