India, Aug. 15 -- Indian startup funding activity remained muted in the second week of August, even as astrology platform AstroTalk joined the unicorn club to become India's 133rd unicorn.

Between August 10 and 14, twelve startups raised a combined $139.5 Mn, marking a 44% decline from the $274.4 Mn raised by 22 startups in the previous week.

The week's funding activity was largely driven by Yulu's $93 Mn Series C round, which accounted for a significant share of the total capital raised in the week leading up to India's Independence Day on August 15.
