India, July 21 -- Zomato parent Eternal's net profit for the first quarter of the fiscal year FY26 slid to INR 25 Cr, down over 90% from the INR 253 PAT it registered in the same period previous year. Sequentially, the company's bottom line crunched by 36% from INR 39 Cr PAT it reported in Q4 FY25.

The diminishing profit comes despite the company recording a hefty bump in its top line for Q1 FY26. In the quarter, Eternal's operating revenue stood at INR 7,167 Cr, up over 70% from INR 4,206 Cr operating revenue it registered in Q1 FY25. On a quarter on quarter (QoQ) basis, Eternal's top line increased by 23% from INR 5,833 Cr.

Including an other income of INR 354 Cr, the company's total income for the period stood at INR 7,521 Cr, up 69%...
