India, June 16 -- Tata Digital-owned BigBasket cofounders Hari Menon and Vipul Parekh have stepped down from day-to-day operations and moved into board and mentorship roles. While Menon served as BigBasket's CEO, Parekh looked after the marketing and finance functions of the ecommerce company.

The company has appointed former Amazon India's former selling partner services' director Amit Nanda as its new CEO. BigBasket said that Nanda played a pivotal role in building and scaling the company's owned brands portfolio across categories during his near 12 year tenure at Amazon India.
