AI Adoption Could Create New Competition Risks In Digital Markets: CCI Chief
India, Sept. 7 -- Competition Commission of India (CCI) chairperson Ravneet Kaur has reportedly warned that AI could amplify anti-competitive practices in digital markets.
Flagging risks like self-preferencing, discriminatory pricing, tying and market manipulation, Kaur said that the rapid adoption of AI is accelerating the pace of change in digital markets and creating new competition risks for regulators, as per a report by PTI.
She made the comments while addressing a national training programme for law students at the India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER) in Goa today.
