India, June 23 -- Electronics manufacturer Tata Electronics has confirmed that it was hit by a cybersecurity incident a few weeks ago. However, the chipmaker claimed that the incident had no impact on its operations.

"A few weeks ago, Tata Electronics identified a cybersecurity incident on some of our systems. Our response protocols were deployed immediately, and the incident has had no impact on our operations across businesses, which remain unaffected," said a Tata Electronics spokesperson.

This comes close on the heels of data leak website World Leaks reportedly posting component design and specification papers of Tata Electronics' two major clients, namely Apple and Tesla, on the dark web.
