[Update] Mark Zuckerberg Issues Apology After Parliamentary Panel Warning

Hours after the MP Nishikant Dubey-led parliamentary panel warned Meta over its content moderation practices, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly apologised for issues related to child abuse content, deepfakes and errors in platform operations.
The move came after Meta's global team met the panel earlier in the day and later IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, as per a report by PTI.
The government had issued summons to Meta over the brief removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook video, among other issues. The panel had also questioned Meta on content moderation, algorithmic bias, and accountability, demanding an unconditional apology from CEO Mark Zuckerberg
