Update: Hours after the story was published, Healthplix's cofounder Sandeep Gudibanda said the startup is not in any talks for acquisition.

He told Inc42, "I would like to clarify the recent speculation regarding an acquisition of HealthPlix by Practo. There is no truth to reports of an acquisition. HealthPlix is an independent, growing company, and that is not under discussion. In fact, HealthPlix is in expansion mode. We are actively growing our footprint in the USA market, and our current cash balance stands at approximately 50% of our last fundraise, reflecting a strong, disciplined balance sheet as we scale."
