PATNA, May 27 -- A 25-yr-old man from Nawada district died after falling from a high-placed fast moving swing at Malmas fair in Rajgir town of Bihar's Nalanda district, police said on Tuesday. Aman Kumar was initially rushed to Rajgir sub-divisional hospital where doctors referred him to Pavapuri Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for advanced treatment. Rajgir DSP Sanjit Gupta said Kumar succumbed to his injuries en route to PMCH. Police said Kumar had come to the fair with his family on Monday night. "The swing was spinning fast and Aman lost his balance and fell," said Prince, the victim's cousin. The victim's family raised questions on the fair's security arrangements, alleging the safety belt attached to the swing was not properly fastened or was loose, leading to the accident. "Preliminary investigation suggests Kumar was trying to take a selfie at the time of incident. Police are probing all aspects of the case," said police in-charge of Malmas fair Jitendra Ram. An FIR has been registered against the swing operator at Rajgir police station. "All swings at the fair have been closed to ensure public safety. An investigation is underway," Gupta added....
