Two smugglers held with Rs.1 cr worth charas
BETTIAH, Oct. 4 -- A joint team of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Harpur police arrested two alleged smugglers, including a Nepali national, and seized 1.8 kg of charas worth around Rs.1 crore in the international market from East Champaran district, officials said on Friday.
The duo was intercepted at Kushawaha Chowk near Ghorasahan on Thursday evening while attempting to deliver the consignment.
Those arrested were identified as Phool Mohammed of Badaka Phulwariya in Nepa and Chaukat Miyan of Sirsiya Mal in Raxaul subdivision of East Champaran, police said....
