PATNA, Sept. 26 -- Ramkrishna police on Friday arrested seven people, including two women, for their alleged involvement in prostitution racket and rescued two girls who went missing from Muzaffarpur district for the last two months, officials said. Officials aware of the matter said a special police team raided a house at Ramkrishnagar police station area. The investigation began after a customer reported the victim's plight to her family. "Soon, the family came to Patna from Muzaffarpur and visited the local police station and sought help," he added. The police team soon raided a rented house and rescued the girls and arrested seven people including two women involved in the prostitution racket. "Two girls of Muzaffarpur had gone missing during a fair about two months ago. Police investigation revealed links to an inter-district gang. The entire network, from luring girls from the Hardi fair to keeping them at various locations and forcing them into prostitution, is being investigated," said a police officer.
